London Buckingham Palace
The Buckingham Palace London became the official Royal Palace of the British monarch in 1837 and after that year several Royals have housed in the Buckingham Palace London. During the reign of King George V the palace has been subjected to several changings, that made the Buckingham Palace appearing as it looks like today.
But in the present age the Buckingham Palace is not only a Royal residence, it is also the home for the Duke of York and the Earl and Countess of Wessex. The household is in the Palace and besides that there are 450 people working in the Buckingham Palace.
Every year, several tourists are very attracted by the Changing of the Guards, which is one of the most popular attractions in London.
Some of the state rooms became opened for the public since the summer 1933, and they used the money got from the tourist visits for rebuilding the state rooms in the Windsor Castle London. In fact these state rooms were damaged and destroyed during a fire in 1993.

London Eye
Built in 1999 the London Eye is today one of the most famous London attractions. The London Eye is also known as the "Millennium Wheel" and is 135 meters high. More than 3 million visitors visit this popular London attraction each year.
Futhermore, the London Eye has 32 capsules from which London visitors can admire the amazing city of London. Each capsule is able to carry a maximum of 24 persons. Architects who designed the London Eye were Julia Barfield, Nic Bailey, David Marks and Steven Chilton.
The London Eye was opened by Tony Blair on the 31th December 1999. Already more then 30 million people have made a ride on the London Eye.
In addition, the London Eye is opened from 10am until 8pm in winter (October till April) and from 10am until 9pm in the summer (May, June and September).
